Snapshots and Git
Two ways to keep the history of your project.
Pick a version control mode in Settings → General → Version control. The first tab in the right rail follows your choice.
Snapshots are full copies of your project, saved under .snapshots/ in the project
folder. They need no setup and no Git.
- Take a snapshot before a big change.
- Compare a snapshot with the current state in a diff view.
- Restore a snapshot. Unsaved edits are saved first, so nothing is lost.
Snapshots leave out build/, .snapshots/ and .git/, so restoring one never
rewinds your Git history.
