Installation

Install a TeX distribution and Polemic.

Polemic compiles with the TeX distribution already on your machine, so you need one installed first.

Requirements

A TeX distribution on your PATH, including latexmk: TeX Live, MacTeX or MiKTeX.
Git (optional): needed for the Git panel. Snapshots work without it.

Install a TeX distribution

Install MacTeX, or with Homebrew:

brew install --cask mactex-no-gui

Check that latexmk is on your PATH:

latexmk --version

Install Polemic

Download the installer for your system from the download page and run it.

Build from source

Polemic is open source. To build it yourself, clone the repository and follow the build steps in its README:

git clone https://github.com/dwarsbit/polemic.git
